She was off ~3L slow at the start, which is not mentioned by the chart caller! She recovered while stuck 4W (exacerbated fractions) and widest through the first turn, continued 3W and uncovered for the majority of the race before being coaxed to circle while 3-4-5W as the far turn progressed, yet despite the tough trip from start to finish, she somehow managed to grind forward in the lane to reach the front in the late stages! This was a HUGE EFFORT that deserves plenty of extra credit!

He was off a touch slow and then forced outwards at the start, which cost him about 1+L leaving the gate! He settled well off the pace while wide down the backstretch (a bad spot), gained while circling smartly while racing 4W throughout, and after looking like a threat in the middle stages, flattened in the lane (this was predictable given the SLOW EARLY PACE). A solid performance in defeat deserves an UPGRADE as he meets (3) rivals from this same race.
UPGRADE
Keeneland Race 2: R Ruth of My Life Was 12-1 ML. Note the following for this runner: 1) She stumbled at the start and then was crowded and lost her path, which cost her about 4+L from the gate! 2) She saved ground throughout nearly the entire far turn. 3) As the far turn progressed, she eased off the inside and was looking for a seam from in-between rivals when she was crowded and forced to steady! This cost her about 2+L overall! 4) This jockey gave up in the stretch drive, which increased the margin of defeat! UPGRADE or EXCUSE this running line as you see fit!
